Mavic Bicycle Wheels

Mavic makes high performance wheels for professional and amateur racers. They have a complete line of road & mountain bicycle wheels. You can find the complete line-up at the Mavic Web site. Mavic Wheels are excellent quality, but they are not cheap! If you want to try out a pair at no charge, we have a demo pair of Ksyrium SSC SL that we will put on your bicycle and let you ride on for a few days (local riding only). Find out for yourself if they are worth the money.

The Cosmos front wheel weighs 750 grams, and has 24 radial spokes. The rear wheel weighs 1050 grams, with 28 spokes in a 3 cross pattern.

Ksyrium Elite wheels feature a semi-profiled rim and flat spokes for improved aerodynamics. The front wheel weighs 780 grams and has 18 radial spokes. The rear wheel weighs 965 grams and has 20 spokes in a 2 cross pattern. It does not use rim tape.

Ksyrium SSC SL is basically a lighter version of the Ksyrium Elite. Same flat spokes, same patterns, and no rim tape. The front wheel weighs 690 grams & the rear one weighs 840 grams.

Since we sell mostly road bicycle wheels, the Crossride is the only mountain bicycle wheel that we regularly stock. The front wheel weighs 730 grams and features 24 radial spokes. The rear wheel weighs 1020 grams and has 28 spokes in a 3 cross pattern.
